A House that appears to be nothing more then a large art Sculpture
On the outskirts of Leiria, Portugal architects Manuel Aires Mateus completed a project in 2010 that truly stands on its own. What looks like at first the typical silhouette of a house soon shows it to be something else entirely.
Privacy was the order of the day here as can be seen by the lack of windows and other openings. It’s stark white facade contrasts with its seemingly traditional form. The house has been designed around a three-storey central courtyard, which provides light and views for the household.
The design appears to have had a childlike beginning but this very fact shows the purity in the modern design. It is not weighed down with ornamentation of any kind. It certainly is a work of art.

The following is a house design imitating sails on a sailboat. Very interesting concept.I think this is a great example of modern, contemporary interior exterior design that shows class, elegance, and definitely a great idea and planning on the part of the architect..

Having come from the plant industry as first projects director and then ikn charge of Costa Farms, orchid, bamboo, and bonsai departments, I can appreciate the plants usage in design but the following represent a perfect blend of modern contemporary home design, both exterior and interior with the perfect landscaped exterior gardens, also in a modern contemporary style that make this combination one of my absolute favorites of all time. Please have a look and let me know what you think?

wooden dining table with wooden ceiling and wooden kitchen design
The only thing I don't like about it s that to much wood was used. I would have perhaps used a different shading (dark cherry, chocolate brown) in the kitchen and maybe on the staircase to give it a little flare and not so much of the same.
