Mini DIY Round-Up: Hello + Envelope Bunting

I came across a few inspirational things earlier this week. A wire wrapped word tutorial over at Craft Tuts  and how sweet is this idea to make bunting using envelopes as seen in the March issue of Ideas Mag? To make them you can either make the envelopes (they used scrapbooking papers and a template they provide) or you could use any envelope really (of course)!  Not much more explanation than that - but just that it makes me super happy! The March issue project is by Lizele Cloete | Photos Ed O'Riley. And lastly (below) a choice of pretty printable gift tags from Ellinee.

Mini DIY Round-Up

Everything Golden for Sugar and Charm
Today we're back with one of our mini DIY round-ups (sorry it's been missing in action lately - can't keep up with all the amazing-ness out there) starting with these cute stockings and hot pads by Mariah of Everything Golden (great blog name) for another blog, Sugar and Charm. Mariah ordered some fabric from Spoonflower using a couple of her photographs and the result is stunning.  (Speaking of Spoonflower –there's an article in the January 2013 House and Home magazine on future trends where I was quoted mentioning them and how these days we're embracing technology to show our individuality and how you can customize so much now for the home. It's authored by Wendy Jacob -starting on page 40- and is an interesting read if you wish to check it out). But back to these DIYs.  I'm loving Mariah's customizing and now my head is spinning with the possibilities.

Kelli Murray shows us how to make your own ornaments and gift tags using oven bake clay on A Beautiful Mess.

And Lisa Tilse makes these really cool neon coil bowls using long strips of fabric + neon orange ‘bricklayers line’ (string) from the hardware store.  (I have to try this)! Click here for the how-to!
