I've been super busy with the Tiny Tidy Challenge, so I must apologise for my lack of posting over here.

I love the lightness of this living and dining room. It belongs to a gorgeous home in Spain.... I really do think the light has a special quality over there. I'm determined to get over there and check it out one day!

I hope the weather is good for you wherever you are this weekend. We're finally going to get a nice day here, although I think it's back to dreary weather next week. Already nearly a month of Spring gone and I feel like I'm still in Winter.

The blossom on the trees is starting to come out though, so that's good!

Oh, Here's Some Kitchens To Love...

I adore these kitchens, but particularly the last one for its mix of different textures, elements, and the welcoming vibe I get from it. I'd love to cook and have a meal with friends or family in there. I can also see myself getting a cup of tea and wandering out that door and relaxing just outside. Plus, there's plenty of room for cats or other furry friends to wander around and laze about on the floor.

The table top in the second last picture is also amazing I think.

And, the view in that first picture..... WOW!

A Garden Of Cushions - I LOVE This!

Wow... you all know how much I LOVE cushions (I am a 'cushionista' after all), so you can imagine how my heart leapt when I saw the gorgeous image below!

I found it on one of my fave blogs Gillyflower, where you can always find beautiful images and thoughtful posts.

I soon as I saw it I thought of it as a garden of cushions.... in all my favourite colours too!

It's actually jumped into my mind many times today as I've gone about my business. One day, I'm just gonna have to have a room where I can fit in a gorgeous sofa like that one, with a garden of cushions in all my most adored colours, backed by a beautiful gallery wall with all my favourite photos and artwork displayed on it.

The whole thing just makes me HAPPY and strikes a chord inside me. And, that's what we should have inside our homes..... things that make us HAPPY!!

I just want to throw myself on that couch and wallow in all of it!

Perhaps you'll find something that makes you so happy you just want to jump in and wallow in it! (Far better to wallow in happiness than the miserable sort of wallowing - don't you think?!)

I'm going away on school camp this coming week with a bunch of 60 grade 3s, so I'll be playing hooky from the blog for a little while whilst I'm out snorkelling, canoeing, mucking around on the beach, looking for possums at night, and generally making sure all the children have a good time and get home safe and sound!

Who Do You Think You Are?

I'm not a big lover of the Vampire Diaries, but this song 'Jar Of Hearts' (which, after watching the film clip must be used in the TV series), is my new favourite song.

The singer, Christina Perri, is new to me, but has a voice I really like.

Lovely harmonies at the end too.

There's Nothing Quite Like A Gorgeous Front Porch!

Aaaah, the weekend is here and I'm welcoming it with big, wide, open arms!

How lovely it would be to spend my time relaxing away the hours on a front porch like this one. An enthralling book, some yummy treats, a drink to hand...... the day would float by in a lovely haze of complete bliss!

My wish for you this weekend is that you find the time to spoil yourself a little bit, recharge your batteries, and dream!

I've been doing lots of day-dreaming lately, and I'd recommend it to anyone. It's good every now and then to let your imagination run wild and fantasize about the way you'd like your life to look.... now all I have to do is turn my dreams into goals, and then into reality.

All Over The Place.... Apologies..... And A Nugget Of Wisdom!

Well.... I've been a bit all over the place this week with my posting (or lack there-of), and I must make HUGE apologies to everyone whose blog I'd usually comment on, and about 90% of the One World One Heart participants whose blogs and comments I haven't responded to.

It's been a crazy, busy, exhausting first week back in the classroom for me, and time seems to have turned itself around, or warped inside out, or done a strange disappearing act or something. I'm bushed!!

Please accept my apologies bloggy friends for my lack of etiquette this week.

I did however, after about 5 minutes of computer wandering tonight (YAY!), find this lovely image and quote. (I then breathed a sigh of relief that I could post something of worth after 4 days of silence and virtually no online time!)

Any Moon Lovers Out There? This One's For You...

I have a friend who just loves looking at the moon, especially when it's 'full'. And, I know there's lots of moon worshippers out there.

A different friend sent these photos to me vai email, so I have no site to link the images to... but wanted to share them as I think the photography ideas are so simple yet stunning.

Some beautiful photos like these would be wonderful to have in your home if you've 'gotta thing' for the moon, don't you think?

Wall Art With A Painted Black Backdrop... And Upcoming News...

How great does this wall art look displayed on this painted black background!?

Great idea, and so simple.

The collection of art itself is also lovely, and of course.... I really love the splashes of red on the wall and in the room. I have three red lamps in my own living room, not to mention red curtains. :) The red curtains in this pic look yummy - just my type.

The red doily is more the type of red I don't use much of (orange tones), I prefer reds with blue undertones.

My Weekend Book And A Library To Dream Of....

What are you all going to be doing this weekend?

I'm going to be finishing my current book  'Hand In Glove' by Robert Goddard. He's probably my second favourite author after Phil Rickman, and I've read this one before (you can tell by its slightly 'weather beaten' condition), but felt like the company of an old friend this week!

Now, if only I had a library like this astoundingly glorious room from one of my favourite design firms Pample Mousse Design Inc to finish reading it in.

Remember the house with the sheep in the living room a while back? That was the folks from Pample Mousse.
