Field Trip | Heather Ross {natural eclectic}

I thought I'd leave you with a few shots I took on my iPhone from yesterday's visit to a really lovely shop here in Vancouver called Heather Ross {natural eclectic} owned and curated by the very talented painter, photographer, stylist and treasure finder, Heather Ross. Heather recently relocated her shop literally around the corner from her old space and is now located near the corner of Fir & 6th next to that wonderful new bakery, Beaucoup Bakery. Antiques, soaps, art and elegant objects for the home fill the lofty space and immediately make you want to start foraging things for yourself, creating your own authentic and unique space.  If you find yourself in the Vancouver area, Heather Ross {natural eclectic} is a definite must-see!  All contact info after the jump!

Beautiful soaps and linens.

West Elm sent over the video they just completed of the recent Etsy Pop-Up Shop Poppytalk curated at West Elm Vancouver earlier this month. For those of you who missed it, there were 18 favorite local artisans invited to share their homemade wares! Thank you to West Elm, it was an honour!

Etsy Pop-Up at west elm Instagram-Style

It was a great weekend here in Vancouver and especially at the Etsy Pop-Up at west elm on Saturday!  Here's a few pictures (instagram style) of the event, which was like one big party, really. I want to personally thank all of you who stopped by, it was amazing to catch up with so many of you and meet others from the online world! If you can imagine, heaps of delicious cupcakes and s'mores (with homemade marshmallows) served by Rosie of Butter Baked Goods, incredible west elm hosts (Andrea and Ella who flew in from Brooklyn and Joshua here in Vancouver), some amazing tunes from DJ Trike, some crazy good cocktails using bittered sling extracts from Kale & Nori (seriously refreshing), and a heap of amazing handmade goods!  Check them out!

The Art of the Holiday Display: Walrus

Walrus is one of my favorite shops here in Vancouver, located near the corner of Cambie and 18th Avenue (my old stomping grounds), owners Daniel and Caroline are a wealth of design information and carry handmade and one-of-a-kind housewares, jewelry and accessories in this must-see store.  They are huge supporters of local talent, and regularly hold exhibits featuring them.  Currently Alex Henderson's (hendersondrygoods.com) work is being featured –a beautiful collection of hand crafted jewellery (for both women and men), art, and other treasures. Check out their website and blog and if you're in town, be sure to drop in and say hi (they're super nice)!  Also if you aren't in town and see something you like on their blog, they ship. Just  drop them an email or give them a ring! Photos by Janis Nicolay.  (See more after the jump)!  Update! Window display by Amanda Huynh.
