We are finally approaching the one week mark until our new house is ready to move in!
Wow, I cannot believe it's almost here! We couldn't be any happier with the way everything is coming together. It's seems like now we are getting down to crunch time, making sure the to-do list is being checked and that everyone stays on schedule.
We still have a ways to go, but if all goes as planned we should be moved in by late next week. My sweet husband has been working so hard to make sure we are in the house by our deadline.
Now we have garage carriage lights.
The front porch gas lantern is a focal point at the front of the house.
Most of our interior lighting is installed. I've been searching for light fixtures since we started building our house. It's by far one of my favorite features in a house. We wanted to make it our own by using old, refurbished lights and new fixtures both mixed together. We also added different finishes and materials of lighting for a more collected look. Here's just a few.
The top left is an antique crystal chandelier that I had refurbished for our garage entry hallway, the top right is a wood beaded chandelier in my office/craft room upstairs, the bottom left is a lantern style pendant for the master bath, and the bottom right is a distressed gray chandelier for the kitchen nook.
The master bathroom shower is being completed this week along with the master bathroom flooring.
The master bathroom cabinets are installed, but we still need to glaze, add the hardware and the counter top.
Laundry room ceramic tile.
Laundry room cabinets with ample storage for bulk supplies, extra pantry space, and cleaning supplies.
Starting the hardwood flooring in the foyer.
Master bedroom hardwood.
The extra bedroom downstairs. I cannot wait to share a special architectural feature in this room!
Upstairs bathroom vanities waiting for their final touches.
The grass and landscape is almost complete.
If you've missed any house building updates you can find them here and here.
Thanks for stopping by!
