installed at the bridgegallery in manhattan's lower east side, the construction of 'chromatex.me'
by new york-based studio softlab is now complete. the multi-coloured, temporary structure
consists of 5,000 uniquely shaped panels held together by binder clips, creating volumous
branching tunnels throughout the gallery space.

the project was fully funded by offering a small ownership of the installation in exchange for
a small donation through the group's online kickstarter page. each panel is etched with hundreds
of names of those who have funded the project. when the installation is eventually disassembled,
they will be shipped to their respective donor's home.
